Abstract: This study explores the impact of cultural awareness programs on adult learners, focusing on how these programs enhance understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures. The objectives were to assess the effectiveness of cultural awareness programs in promoting cultural sensitivity, to identify key elements that contribute to successful program outcomes, and to evaluate the challenges faced by adult learners in these programs. A survey research design was employed to gather data from participants engaged in cultural awareness programs, providing detailed insights into their experiences. A sample size of 300 adult learners was selected for robust analysis. The purposive sampling technique was used to target individuals actively participating in cultural awareness initiatives. The case study was conducted in Lagos, Nigeria, a culturally diverse city with a rich history of multicultural interaction. Findings indicated that cultural awareness programs significantly enhanced learners' cultural sensitivity and understanding, leading to improved interpersonal relationships and reduced cultural biases. However, challenges such as language barriers and limited program resources were identified. The study recommended increasing funding for cultural awareness programs and incorporating multilingual materials to better support diverse learners.
